New Member Hello / American Eagle???

Hello to all from Texas. I'm a new member as of today. I've have a luger that I have recently become interested in. I've known that it's a finely crafted firearm, but did not know the history. I'm interested in finding out more about it's history and manufacture. Great to find this site. It's got the American Eagle on the top a serial number on the front that matches all the other parts that I can see. It doesn't have the original grips. It does have a stock attachment point on the grip. The DWM is on the action, and the knobs on the action are knurled. There is a small crown and an "N" below it on the gun. I'm not sure whether it's a 9mm or not. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this.

Brent welcome to the forum!

Go to http://www.lugerforum.com/ (you may not have come through this part of the forum), and then go to the Technical and also the General Section and you can see assorted information, then go and read and see all the postings for Early Lugers! :)

More information is needed for yours, such as serial number, proofs, acceptance markings, etc.

Ed

Brent,
A hearty Aggie "HOWDY" from the Class of 63'. Welcome to the Luger Forum. You will find lots of help here, and we look forward to helping you with your "American Eagle". Mr. Ed Tinker has given you some good advice, so go there and have a look around. Lurk here, as I do, and you'll pick up a lot.

Ronnie

Thank you to you both, and "HOWDY" back. Heard R.C. Slocum speak last night so I'm feelin' really Maroon/White today. I'll post back when I've had time to print out all of the info and sit down and make some notes. I look forward to discussing things with Y'all.

Hi Brent,

A M1900 or a M1906 AE luger would not have the stock lug feature...do you have the ability to post some photos...?

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Pete
It probably has Ideal grips on it.
