OT..P38 records
With a couple of reported guns from Jeff Clement, I now have 20,000 records on my P38 database!
Unlike the Colt Collectors, we have almost no records to study and this empirical method is the only way we can establish what happened and when! I started recording Serial numbers and descriptions in 1976 to solve this problem. [and end all the 'guesses' and 'what if's' that plagued us! My thanks to all of you that have participated over the past 25 years. However, this amounts to less than 1% when one discounts the guns that are reported multiple times. [I post all the reports...I find it is often useful] Please continue reporting P38-P1-P4-P5 pistols with a brief description when you observe or examine one? Only a brief description is needed but more if better! Do not restrict your reports to only the rare and unusual! Common stuff is badly need too for analysis of production and changes made? <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" /> O. L. That is really great Orv!
I would love to do the same thing with Lugers, and can only imagine the hard work involved. I'll e-mail you |
I have several that I can send info on when I can find them.
Do you have a form to fill out? Can you send a list of what you are looking for? Is there a forum for P-38s? |
