Price Check for a sideplate?

This is the highest I have ever seen paid for a sideplate... Auctions absolutely amaze me... The buyer must have had need to "match" a gun whose last two digits are "46"

I don't know the buyer, or what the intentions are, but $159.50 is a lot for a used sideplate...

In your purchases over the next few months, keep an eye out for this sideplate on an "all-matching" gun... If you are in the market for a genuine "all matching" Luger, I recommend you download the photos from the auction before they disappear... They might come in handy...

caveat emptor...

John, I agree that the price bit is too high for a WW2 Mauser sideplate in this condition. When I have unmodified ones, I generally ask $100 stripped or $25 more for original lever and pin. I do have a few DDR renumbered WW2 Mauser stripped plates or new repros complete @$60 each. TH
