Luger Downfall of Tom Horn!!!

I'm watching The History Channel's - Wild West Tech, and they told the story of Tom Horn. Seems he almost escaped the gallows, except he couldn't figure out how to shoot a Luger. It would have been a very early Luger, since the incident took place in 1901!!! They had an animation showing how the safety on the Luger worked claiming that Horn couldn't figure it out. They got it wrong. They showed the lever pivoting at the top and swinging at the bottom. That would probably have caused me not to be able to shoot it as well...

If you see this soon enough, The History Channel reruns the show later. You could tape it and see what I mean...

I found it very interesting, as some deputy had a luger! My wife says, LUGER, LUGER, come see! (I was on the computer...) Gots to love a wife that does that for ya!

The coating is everything they claim. I've yet to find a scratch from inserting and removing from my gun. I havn't been to the range since the last time. A bit too hot here, but I'm getting ready for some more shooting fun. Probably make another video as well...

I have read that it was a Luger, I've also read that it was a FN Browning 1900 .32. Either way he had problems with the safty.

Dang the newfangled automatics anyhow!
Stevie.
