Hi All,
Anyone got the story on the "REAL" G¶ring Luger? Who was it presented by? For what reason was it presented? What would a peice like it be priced on today's market? Very Curious,...Brandon |
Brandon,
On brief search, there are a couple of pix of the pistol in The Luger Book, by Walter p. 144. It is a Krieghoff. I would assume that by private treaty the pistol would fetch $300-500,000. Maybe more. I am open for correction. |
IIRC, the Goering piece is owned by Randall Gibson. It is a very well known and exquisite piece of art, although not exactlt to my tastes. It was presented to Goering by Kreighoff as in appreciation of the Luftwaffe contract.
Something you won't be seeing at the range. Tom A. |
