OT - P-38 in .30 Luger
 

The .30 Luger is one of my favorite cartridges and I have numerous pistols in that chambering. They include a Benelli B-80 and Browning Hi-Power as well as a handful of Lugers. I've patiently been waiting for the chance to add a P-38 and one finally came my way.

The money order has gone out in today's mail and I hope to have it by the middle of next week. It's described as new, in-the-box with all accessories, manuals and test target. The box is supposed to be in excellent condition and the pistol was made in the early 1970's. It came from an estate and the price was very fair. Now I'll be on pins and needles until I have it in my hands.

I have been wanting one of those 30 Luger P.38s to add to my 22 lr P.38 so I am duely excited for you! Let us know how it is! CONGRATS! I know Hugh will be excited for you too!

Fantastic find! Good for you! I have been trying to find one of these for the last couple of years. Seen two advertised in Gun List, but called too late.

I just purchased a like new 30 Luger bbl for a P38 from a gunshop that removed it from a customers gun. The shop owner said that his customer didn't like the caliber and wanted a 9mm bbl installed in his gun! Go figure! Poor dope didn't know he could have sold his gun and bought a new 9mm P38 and had money left over!
