Hey Tac....maybe you should have offered to pay for the scope as well as the shipping....(only kidding!!)....ps....I grew up in Hampshire...and am now settled in Montreal and have a firearms dealers licence....let me know if you are looking for anything in particular!!..any restrictions on deactivated guns over there??....Peter..

Perhaps he is concerned you would then be able to see him from there with such an optical instrument.

What you need is a U.S. counter part, too bid/buy and ship too you, so you will not miss out again. But what could he have added too make you feel better?. Having done some hard time (just kidding), in Hammersmith, perhaps the dining experinces has still left a bad taste in his mouth (not sure I'm kidding). As I get a few large gun estates from time too time,too sell off, and I have a gun smith business, with stuff coming in every so often...you are now on my "want" list should I run across scopes you are interested in.

UK postal addresses generally have at least one more line than US ones. Perhaps it is just beyond this guy's ability to deal with such complex issues.

More seriously, I re-mailed a few Luger springs to Europe, vendor would not ship them, apparently afraid of getting entangled in European laws concerning gun parts. There are such laws. I mailed the springs as just that, springs, period.
