Portland Gun Show Report
Portland Gun show this weekend is a three-day show, I took this afternoon off and took in the early day. So far, its low tide for Lugers.
A couple of Usual Suspects don't have tables, a really nice 1900AE and the John Martz Baby which have been at shows most of last year have sold. The $1,600 1900AE which is -always- there is still there. .30 Commercial shooter for $800. 1917 DWM, heavily pitted, $300 Mitchell stainless steel, $595 Jerry Kramer was there with a small high-quality selection, Abercrombie & Fitch "Swiss" $6,500 1929 Swiss Bern $3,500 1913 Erfurt with stock lug $1,795 1906AE $2,695 1906 Portuguese M2, $2,295 DWM 1st issue P-08 (I think $1,500, I forgot to write it down) Ugly gun of the show was a commercial Luger, gold-plated with walrus Ivory grips. There were a few tables still not set up, so I'm hoping for some more Luger content tomorrow. On the plus side, it was a particularly large crowd for a Friday. --Dwight |
offer $225 for the pitted one, so Hugh can make it into a baby for me!
I wonder if these guys have a higher priced gun on the table, so someone will keep coming by and look? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> Years ago I read an article about a Ab and Fitch, so they have always intrigued me, :) Thanks for the report Dwight! |
I went today and several of these were gone. I did see the gold pated Luger. It was UGLY! Even a nickled one looks better. The only guns I was tempted by were a Chilean Navy Astra with holster ($350.00)and a Chinese Mauser broomhandle (300.00)but I passed on both and will save my money for my next Luger purchase.
