couple questions

My luger (1937 S/42) has a very stiff toggle. Is there an easy way or any way at all to fix this? Also, when using snap caps for dry firing, how do I get the toggle back down after extracting the last round without cocking the gun?

Thanks!

Hudson

Hi Hudson,

Go to the General Information button in this site. Then go to Frequently Asked Qustions and then go to the very bottom of the page where Ted tells how to un-**** a Kuger.

Sorry Rick! I don't type very good either!, I do miss the spell check, I usually run the words I'm not sure of on the windows word program, I understand, and I am in the same boat, no harm ment! till...later...G.T.

Hey, I'm laughing at myself. No offense taken whatsoever. I enjoy the banter that goes on here. Hey, I've still got your old mug in my luger forum picture collection on my hard drive and I look at it every once in a while for laughs. Btw, what's wrong with Ted?

Thanks for the response guys. After rereading Ted's post, I realized I was doing it all wrong, but all's well now. As for the stiff toggle, anyone know what might be causing it? When I disassembled the gun, it was full of heavy grease but maybe that's normal.

Re: couple questions

Hi Hudson! We kinda got off track....the stiffish toggle isn't all that bad....if the luger preforms all it's functions, fire, extract, eject, reload, and hold open....

then there is not much that cane be done, you might check to see if the receiver forks are bent or tweeked.....perhaps a good cleaning and a little light oil might improve the feel....good luck & let us know what you find out! till...later...G.T. P.S. also try a different mag....might help!

Ted picked up a case of intestinal flu...

on his recent trip turkey shooting, it's my guess it's that to which he is referring...
