It's a 1906 Model with a long barrel.

Re: luger on auction what is is??
My guess would be a 1906 Navy Commercial, a few were made in 7.65mm, but it beats me why no serial number, maybe someone more knowledgeable than me has that answer.

Re: luger on auction
David, The luger shown is definately a model 1906 with a replaced sear (standard PO8 type not for grip safety). It's too bad that the photos don't show the serial number or any crest on the top of the chamber. Also the marking on the left frame rail (below the crown over N is not readable) these details might tell us if it is a Swiss rework or just a long 7.65 barrel added to customers specs by Stoeger, Pacific Arms, or later.

Re: Response from seller
A friend of mine requested additional infor on the pistol and got the following response.
"Im sorry but the consignor will not give me the serial number nor its range. There are no other markings on the gun but for the serial number at the frame.Im sorry I could not have been more help. Lenny" |
Re: Response from seller
I guess he really doesn't want to sell it!

Re: Response from seller
Something sounds fishy when the seller won't provide any additional informtion. The pistol appears to be a Swiss rework, but I guess we will never know. Normally Pacific Arms did not have barrels for the long frame pistols and turned the shoulder back on barrels for short frame pistols.
