OT;ebay emails
In the past two days I have received literally hundreds of ebay "daily status" emails, all identical. Yesterday they were all dated 05/28/03 and with the same time, today they are all dated 05/29/03 with the same time. I am also receiving hundreds of emails from Capitol One "reduce your credit payments" all identical. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have Choice Mail spam screener, and if it weren't for that, my computer would be full of these emails. The are coming in faster than the program can handle them and there is presently a backlog of 40 on it! I posted this question on the ebay "techincal questions" forum yesterday, and it wasn't there today, apparantly ebay removed it. |
Hugh, sounds like you may have a server problem, call them and explain what is happening, they sould be able to fix it.

Hi Hugh,
Herb is correct. When you call - ask your ISP to flush their mail queue. Sounds like something is "stuck". Depending on the ISP, it may fall into their mainteniance window, so it would hurt to ask... As well - you can probably construct a mail filter on the line "From" to delete them from the server..... HTH |
Thanks, Herb & John, I got it fixed.
