Jan Still log in???
 

Hello ,
I have tried many times to become a member of Jan Still's web site but it will not let me become a member. It has an error message that says my name will not work. I have tried different names, spellings and different pass words but nothing. Has anyone else had problems. I have my cookies on and my fire wall set low.

I have same problem. I used to like it over there. I thought I couldn't get in because I have high security setting on firewall. Rather not go than decrease setting. Please let me know if you find out anything.

If you can determine the IP of Jan's site and set your UDP to allow svchost.exe outbound to that IP, it will not decrease your security in any degree.

We have asked Brent to look at the problem, I tried to re-register using a different e-mail and it gave me an error message.

Wes is totatlly correct, if you "allow" a specific site, then all other sites are still blocked, and you can also allow a user domain, such as www.gunboards.com and this will also work.

I just tried again (first time in about three weeks) and got on no problem. I didn't change any of my settings. Maybe they made an adjustment, or maybe it's just one of those things. Either way, I'm just glad I can participate again.

I will try again, I gave up because it would'nt let me go to the link it said I was to go to.

I had no problem re-registering when the board officially opened, but this board keeps me busy enough that I just don't get to spend much time over there reading...
