TRYING TO FIND A NEEDLE IN THE HAYSTACK
Hi I am a new member and I hope I am in the right forum. If not I apologize. My question is this...A relative of mine bought back a luger from the War,I have the paperwork that allowed him to transport it back. I dont know what the reason was but it was sold in the 50's in Detroit. The serial number is 73632 it also had these markings "type p.m. 37" followed by the cal. 7.65.If anyone has this and its for sale I would be interested. If not please explain the markings, they dont seem to match the descriptions I have read on markings. Thanks
p.s. This luger had either pearl or a bone type of grips when it was brought over. |
From the "capture paper" info above, I would have guessed that this was the description of a Nazi produced P37 Femaru, made in Hungary in 32acp (7.65mm) probably marked jhv43, not a luger. TH

Unfortunately your chances are better at winning the lottery. I have checked # on my 37--it is not the one. You might try gunboards.com and ask same question. You also might try selling the capture paper on ebay and mention that you are looking for the gun. You might be surprised at price you can get for just the capture paper. Good Luck.
