Should I re-blue?
As far as re-finishing lugers do many owners of "shooters" have there pistols re-blued? If so, is it recommended to have it professionally done, or is this a "do it yourself job"? If its a do it yourself job, whats the best way to go about doing it?

IF you decide to have your Luger refinished, most of us on this board would suggest you contact "Thor" who posts on this board frequently. His work is more a restoration than a "refinish" and his finished product is just plain beautiful!

I checked out thors web-site. He has amazing craftsman-ship!! I will definatley try to have him re-work my pistol.
Thanks for the great tip! Semper-Fi USMC |
USMC,
Ted (Thor) has restored 4 Lugers for me and is completing the 5th. (The Luger shown on his website's main page is one he restored for me). Only when you hold the finshed product in your hand can you begin to fully appreciate his abilities and the depth of his artistry. Greg |

Thor is a genius at this. Trust me: You'll be happy with his work; he has refinished 3 Lugers for me, and they are all beauties. Luke |
