Shipping a Zero Series P.38, Charlie Volk's 6" S/42 Shooter and that big ol 45 Broomhandle today.
|
Just finished a Ballester Molina Pistol, really nice 45 copy of the 1911 Colt. Some internal differences.
|
Got the S/42 shooter back from Ted and it really looks nice. I got the DWM rust blue with strawed parts because I prefer the Imperial appearance and the receiver has a 1936 chamber date.
Out of curioisity I laid the refinished S/42 next to a 1913 military and a 1920 commercial that both have very nice original finishes. The bluing on the restored gun looks identical to the others. Not pretty close, but identical. Ted also did some adjusting and tweaking to get the gun to function reliably for em. Thanks Ted. |
Just finished a Russian/Chinese Tokarev. Almost done with Striders 1940/42 Luger. Currently also doing a Broomhandle Bolo.
|
Strider's 1940/42 is ready to be picked up! Send me an email or lets do lunch dude! Starting on Franks K Date. Finishing Doug Taylor's 1917 Erfurt today.

Picked up my 1940/42 from Thor last night and let me tell you he did an awesome job on it. All I could do was keep on saying wow, beautiful, amazing, etc. <img border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" title="" src="graemlins/bigok.gif" /> The words to describe this escape me. You really need to see his work in person. Pictures do a decent enough job but wait until you actually hold one of his works of art in your hands and see the craftmanship that Thor puts into his work. Totally amazing. I showed it to the Mrs. last night and she was amazed at what he done. Now she is saying that we should not shoot it any more. She does not want to ruin it. I highly recommend Thor if you want to have a P-08 fixed up. You will not regret it one bit. Thanks for all your hard work Thor. You know I really appreciate it very much.

Thanks Strider, I enjoyed turning Strider the diamond in the rough into Aragon the regal Luger.
Enjoy it and shoot it. Now you need an Artillery, they are a must for any collection. <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/MM1914Erfurt1.JPG" target="_fullview"><img src="http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/MM1914Erfurt1.JPG" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/HCArty.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/HCArty.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> |

Ted,
Tell who ever is cleaning up the grips that I do NOT want that "new" look that is in the pix on this thread...just a *very* light cleaning. Thanks, TA |
Yes, you made this very clear sir! I wrote a book to Hugh about it!
|
Thanks, Ted. We are on the same sheet of music.

Shipped the Zero Series P.38. Also finished a Black Widow byf 42 for Louis Berg. This was one of the YEMEN Lugers. A real different looking TLSS Luger. Should have pictures of it soon!
Here some BEFORE THOR Pictures! <a href="http://gallery.rennlist.com/lugeralbums/5fromYemen/Robert_Berg_byf_Left.sized.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://gallery.rennlist.com/lugeralbums/5fromYemen/Robert_Berg_byf_Left.sized.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> <a href="http://gallery.rennlist.com/lugeralbums/5fromYemen/Robert_Berg_byf_Right.sized.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://gallery.rennlist.com/lugeralbums/5fromYemen/Robert_Berg_byf_Right.sized.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> AND AN AFTER PICTURE! <a href="http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/LBBWA2R.JPG" target="_fullview"><img src="http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/LBBWA2R.JPG" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> |
Thor, was that one of the original five Lugers that Mr. Berg brought back from Yemen? or is this the fruit of his latest trip?
|
Yes one of the originals. I have restored a K date, a Mauser Banner and now this Mauser byf Black Widow from the original group. This gun was given to Robert Berg's brother, Louis. So Louis is my client on this Black Widow. I think he gave this K date to his father.

The 42 byf Black Widow Luger is shipped to Louis Berg. Doug and Nancy Taylor came by to pick up his 1917 Erfurt Luger. What a wonderful time we had with them. My whole family enjoyed the visit. Doug and Nancy had stopped also to see GT and Carol Tomek, and Ralph & Nancy Shattuck! I am continually impressed with the good Luger folks I have met. <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Hi Thor! I hope Doug & Nancy enjoyed all their stops! I'll bet Doug was happy to see his new toy! I'm sure you enjoyed their company as much as we did! I too, am continually impressed with the quality of people that make up this forum! Best to all! til...lat'r....GT :) :)

They had very nice things to say about you guys. He enjoyed your P.38 collection too! I told him about the "special holster" you made for JM and he was quite astounded as was I! I am sure PANZER showed em a good time too! I showed him the plum bayonet you gave me! PRICELESS! He mentioned really liking that Navy Luger of yours!

Shipped out a Remington Model 1911 (Colt copy), and a ac41 P.38 yesterday. Just about to finish Frank's K date Luger!
