TLSS Outgoing 2

For sure reason I am having trouble doing replies to posts. Everything goes as planned, then when I try to view the post, it disappears. I am logged in and I am hitting the refresh button, but I dont see the new post, so Jerry asked me to post these so I will try a new posting to see if it works. We shipped out Jerry Peterson's nice 1900 American Eagle Luger back to him today. He wanted me to show you some pictures of this really nice Luger. It was the first that has the new rust bluing on it, really pretty! If this ends a duplicate post, it was because of my previous troubles, so forgive me please. I also MUST mention those GREAT Border Grips were made by Hugh Clark! SUPERB!!!

I usually don't hit refresh, sometimes it messes me up, so I click on "Message Board" and it shows me what is new for that time frame.

Ted,

That sure is a "purty" AE. You did, as usual, a great job...Can't wait to receive it. And Hugh's recheckering looks great too).

Thank you both!!!

George Anderson's Artillery was shipped today. This poor pistol had no bluing on it! It needed a face lift bad!!! Kind of interesting to see how bad it looked when it got here. I didnt take any after pictures of it.

Wow! The metal is smooth and the edges sharp. Looks like it was chemically stripped. I hope George will entertain us with some "after" pictures.

Thor 02-20-2003 09:19 PM

Well, for the week of February 22nd, the Lugers of note are Greg Kilburn's 1921 Weimar Army DWM, Frank Manders 1st Variation K date, and Bill McGrevin's 1917 DWM Artillery Luger. Next week plans are for Hugh's 6" Bull Barrel Target Shooter, and Doug George's 1920 Double Cannon Combo Shooter-a 1920 DWM Navy Commercial and a 1920 DWM Commercial BOTH in 30 Luger on the same frame set up. Tim Phillips, and Steve Lempitski have some Luger work coming up too! A busy time for TLSS! Thanks and may God bless you all! http://members.rennlist.com/lugerman/TLSS_banner.jpg

Ted,

You just get better and better. Second Ron's comment about George's arty; it would be good to see an "after" picture as well.

I didnt take any after pictures as it went out the door pretty quick. SHIPPED TODAY-Frank Manders 1st Variation K date Luger AND Bill McGrevin's 1917 DWM Artillery Luger. RECEIVED Doug George's Baby Luger in from Hugh! REAL SWEET little jewel!! I think if you guys could hold one of these in your hands, you would go nuts trying to find a spare shooter Luger to send to Hugh for his reduction job! WOW, these are COOOOL!!! Nice Job Hugh!!!!

Frank 03-04-2003 11:29 PM

I'm sure that this will not be a shock to anyone, but I got the renovated K-Date back this evening.

WOW !!!
