WW II Movies OT

Wilmer: Major Wilmer speaking. Ja, colonel.

Kramer: Can you describe him?

Wilmer: That will not be necessary. Ask him to show you his right forearm.

Kramer: May I see your right forearm.

Smith: Certainly

Wilmer: There are two parallel scars about three centimeters apart.

Kramer: The scars are there.

Wilmer: Ask, how did he get them.

Kramer: How did you get those?

Smith: I was born with them.

Kramer: He says he was born with them.

Wilmer: That is right. So tell him he´s a traitor.

Smith: Tell him he´s a renegade.

Wilmer: [laughing] Jaah, that is Schmidt, no question about it

I don't know Matt, but I have been watching and waiting for 2 years now!! I got connected with a MGM representative in a MGM chat room and asked that question. The reply was something like "We dont give out schedules or plans on DVD releases (unless they are imminant)" Bummer I watch this one on widescreen on the classic channel and it is so much better when you can see the WHOLE movie, saw "Battle of the Bulge" the same way the other day and it was fantastic. I have wondered if you could purchase it on Laserdisk and convert it to widescreen DVD. I have also thought about taping the widescreen off the TV Classic Channel but I know I wont be truley happy until it comes in DVD widescreen format! I went to see this show in the theaters in 68 or 69 when it was released! It was stunning! Ted
