Recoil Spring Replacement

A number of months ago there were some discussions giving tips on how to replace a Luger's recoil spring. I haven't been able to find any of them, could someone please post links to them?

Thanks much.

Look in the "General Information" section of this forum. Ted Green (Thor) has posted detailed instructions with photos on how to install a Luger recoil spring.

Guys,

Thanks much, its perfect, and exactly half the information I need. The other half is how to take that puppy out in the first place.

Could it be as simple as the reverse of the leg-bench procedure?

Yes, sometimes AFTER you compress the spring, you might have to push left or right with a screw driver on the end of the spring guide depending on whether you want in to engage or disengage the arm that connects to the coupling link when you release the compressive force on the guide. ALSO, there was one error in the picture that occurs between step six and seven, the hook on the end of the spring guide is shown backwards or pointed in the wrong direction, the entire assembly should be rotated 180 degrees so the hook now faces the trigger guard instead of the rear grip strap.
