Re: post WW2 movie
![]() Ted,
Take a look at the old WW I classic, "Hells Angels". In the last scene, the evil Erich Von Stroheim gives the hero a Luger with a single bullet in it, which our hero proptly uses to shoot his not brave enough to stand against the wall andÃ?Â*faceÃ?Â*the firing squad, brother. Don't want to give away the plot, (plot?), but that might tempt you to take a look at the film. Truely great flying sequences made in theÃ?Â*days long before the special effects we've all come to expect today. |
Re: post WW2 movie
![]() In the movie "The Devils Brigade" The closing sequence has one of the German officers shooting Cliff Robertson with either a Luger or P.38 when they are disarming them. Of course a burst from a Tommy gun (or other MP) cut short that escapade. I tried amazon.com and couldnt find "Hells
Angles" Pity! |
Re: post WW2 movie
![]() Walt,
Where did you find a copy of "Hell's Angles"? I've tried to find that movie myself. |
That's a good one Ted,
Alec Guinness of "Star Wars" fame does a great job of portraying Hitler. He looks and acts just like him, right down to Der Fuehrer's infamous temper tantrums!

Re: post WW2 movie
![]() "Hell's Angels" shows up from time to time on various classic movie channels, but can normally beÃ?Â*found at "Best Buy" or advertised along with a bunch on other military films in magazines such as "Aviation History" or "Military History". Has some flying and dogfight scenes that would be hard to beat even with modernÃ?Â*technology, and for theÃ?Â*aviation nut, (me), usedÃ?Â*many authentic world war I aircraft such as Fokker D-7's, Nieuport 28's,etc., along with then current Army Air Force aircraft for theÃ?Â*balanceÃ?Â*of the movie squadrons. Think you'll enjoy it. Also stars Jane Harlow as the loveÃ?Â*interest, so has a little something for everyone including Luger lovers.
