loading tool markings
When I bought my first luger a few years ago I was sold a loading tool which was supposed to be Imperial. The mark on it, however, looks like an eagle... or more like a long vertical line with another across it and smaller ones pointing down from the cross bar (to me that's similar to the stylized Waffenamt eagles with wings pointing outwards). It has something under it that looks like a tilda "~", or perhaps it's just one of the many dents on the tool. I think I got screwed on the deal. What do I really have here?!?

Waschbaer,
Tool markings are often hard to diagnose with a verbal description; if you could send a picture it would help. Tom A |
Waschbaer, Tom is right on the money. Also to authenticate a loading tool it might be helpful to measure it's thickness. In Benders book, Luger Holsters and Their Acessories he outlines the differences in thickness of originals from fakes. Send Tom a photo and he can undoubtably give you good advice. Jerry Burney
