Arro grips
 

Hi

Have anyone seen those kinds of grips before?
Targetgrips for Luger pistols.
HAve no idea when they are made?

Hi Haken! They certainly look to be high quality... probably bakeolite... I have never seen them before either... if they are of a quality fit, then they would most likely be worth the cost...til...later...GT

I have previously seen these kinds of grips. If I remember correctly they are described in "Le Luger, un pistolet de legende".

Now I am on vacation and so I cannot be more precise (I do not have all my books about Lugers with me !!). Next week I will give you more details.

as I promised you, find here a picture of the Arro grips. These grips were made after WWII by the Arro firm for competition purposes.

Just "won" this really mint pair of brown Arro grips on e-Bay during the last week or so.

You cannot believe how well they fit on my shooter lugers and how comfortable they are to hold once mounted to a luger...well worth the $ 45.00 I paid...!!!

The material is very similar in density to the original Black Widow grips I have...probably a bakelite of some sort...

If one has larger hands and finds the grip of a luger a bit too skinny, these Arro grips are a bit thicker and add a nice "full" feeling to gripping a luger in the hand and that left-side thumb rest is just in the right spot...

Nice looking grips Pete...

I have never been one for thumbrests on grips because no matter how comfortable they are, they almost always interfere with holster carry...
... but the pair you bought certainly look like nice quality...

How about mounting them on a shooter and posting some additional photos for each side...? and one "mounted" in your hand in a shooting position?

As promised, some photos of these brown Arro grips on my 1918 Artillery...I have tried these one 8-9 of my guns, and the grips seem to fit well on most. Tried DWM and Mauser lugers only...my 1913/1920 Erfurt has the magazine safety device, so the left grip panel could not be tried, but the right grip panel fit fine, as well.
