Magazine Loading Assist Tool???

I spent today at range 'exercizing' my new shooter. Much pleasure, but wore out my fingertips holding down spring of my magazines when loading them up with ammo. Is there such as thing as a tool that holds springs (partially) down so one can insert rounds without developing fingertip callouses?

Yes Jerry, in the holster is a tool pouch, it holds a Luger Loading tool, can also be used for the firing pin and to take the grips off.

Jerry, I have most varieties of PO8 mag loading tools in stock. The least expensive ones, but made on the original WW2 machinery, are the post war E.German ones @$15 each or 2 for $25. Also have unmarked DWM tools @$25 each and proofed Mauser, Erfurt, etc. starting @$50. TH

Thanks folks. I have an old 1936 holster that I carry my Luger (Weimar era) in, and DO have that tool in the holster. I knew it was for "takedown", but didn't know if was for this purpose too. I'll try that out.

Mr. Heller, do you have a website with your "wares"?

Tnx all...

Jerry

Many years ago, when I was in the Army, I knew a fellow by the name of Jerry who accidentally shot himself in the foot ( with a .45, not a Luger).

'Careful out there, Jerry !!!

Thanks everyone. Morris - I'll be careful. I still need ALL my parts. Edward - The "takedown" tool in my holster did EXACTLY what I needed - my fingertips thank you. Lugerdoc - I'm sure to need something for my "toys" and I'll keep you in mind. I always learn a thing or two from this website.

My favorite loading tool is the HKS-P08. It makes
it very easy. I bought mine at the Indy gun show
but you can find them from some HKS dealers. Here
is one:
