NEED HELP: TM08 DRUM BOX

Hello everyone, I am new to this board but it seems like a great place here. I have found something that I understand is quite rare. It is the German wood box that holds 5 snail drum mags and spare ammo from WWI. This type box is pictured in, I think, Luger of the world. It has the "P." on the front and is in good shape. One problem is that the inside dividers have been removed. So while I have a photo of the inside from the book, it does not show enough detail to reproduce the missing parts. Does anyone have one of these to get better photos/dimensions from or know someone who would? Otherwise does anyone know George Machtellinckx's email address? Thanks in advance. I am looking forward to putting this back together. I was even consider making a few up if there was interest. The metal hardware would be the hard part. I wonder if these were originally for mp-18 gunners assistants?

Regards

Robert, Jesus! don't make any up. Send me photos of what you have and I may send you photos of my original. The Germans only seem to have used this box secondarily for the TM08. They are exactly the same dimension as another ammo box that came into use two years earlier and was much more common. From the exterior, only the "P" indicates the difference. The hardware and dimensions are exactly the same for both. My email is keoki77@earthlink.net

Hello Robert,
I am very happy for you. Actually the P-kasten is an item very hard to find. Here some pictures extracted from "La Gazette des armes".

Many thanks to everyone who has helped me so far, Mauro, George, Albert and Bill! I have decided not to bother to try making any more up. No real reason too. My main concern is to do the restoration right. Maybe in a few months I will post a photo, before and after. This will be a great addition to my Mp-18 display. Thanks again!

Hi,

I have a reprint of the LP08 manual, it also has a top view image of the P-kasten inside.

Reprint was done by
Journal-Verlag Schwend GmbH.

If you want a scan of that photo, just let me know.
