Capture Papers
I have finally located a Luger that not only has the capture paper but also the bill of sale from 1961 to the elderly gentleman who sold me the gun. It should be here in a few days. What would you recommend to preserve the documents? Is laminating them a real no no?

Laminating would be very bad and although preserve for a while, eventually yellow and ruin them.
I would get some acid reducier stuff (wrong words). Antique book people have document protectors and a mist spray that will neutralize acid in modern paper. sounds really cool about the gun and paper. Any story on it? I enjoy that very much, I'd say e-mail me, but I am out of town until late tomorrow night, my home e-mail must be huge and my work laptop went oops-say-o, hard drive went out. |
Ed,
Thanks for the info. I went online and found a company in Massachusetts that sells these products. They are sending me their catalog for free ! Also, I will send an email to the elderly gentleman and see if there is a story behind the Luger. Mark |
