Magazines...
Came across this site selling late Luger magazines. Is this a good price if they are real???
Magazines... |
Johnny,
Did you order any ? let us know if they are Original Jim |
Johnny, This would be an outstanding deal (about half the normal price) for mag with original uncracked bottoms and undented tubes. I doubt that you'll get any nice ones at that price, as I've seen their stock at shows. TH
|
I note they carefully avoid mentioning condition and I'm always leery of any item not described in full.
|
Not really sure if you will be able to get these. The owners German nationals are in some big DO DO with the ATF over improperly demilled MG parts kits. They were cut up, but not enough to satisfy the boys at ATF. One I think is in custody and the other will not come back into the states. I have not heard much on this lately as this happened a month or so ago.

Sounds like it may be worth a phone call instead of trying to order online... if you find the phone has been disconnected, then I wouldn't risk ordering them online.
You might also try email... to see if you get a response... Fortunately, there is nothing illegal about selling Luger magazines, so that part of the business may still be able to function. There are also mags being offered in incomplete condition... for $19.95! Sounds like it might be a good source (if still functioning) for those folks who just bought GT's new mag rehab tools! If anyone buys any of these... please post the results here. |
John S, The $19.95 variety that they are selling are post WW2 Finnish replacement. These can be identified by the blued extruded tubes with rough wood bottoms pinned at the rear. TH

Dr. Heller,
Were these Finnish replacement mag extruded tubes German leftovers from WW2? or were they manufactured new? Thanks, |
Here's another place to get them at an even better price but call first to be sure you don't get the VOPO 2001 stamped ones. ---
LUGER P-08 fxo type from Suhl plant, very good $60 each, 10 or more $50 each plus shipping. Rayjack, PO Box 2121, Acworth, GA 30102. 678-445-6766. This guy has advertised in Gun List for quite some time, and Pete has no affiliation with this information whatsoever. |
Doug,
is that David Moses ? Somehow the pic looks familiar. |
John, The extruded Finnish tubes are more like the current Mec-Gar ones than the WW2 Hannel production. TH
|
Does anyone have a picture of the Finnish magazines? I have never seen one of them. Are they current manufacture?
