My initial impression is that it is what is called the Erma small kit. Does it by chance have a WaA49 under a droop winged eagle on it? If so these usually go for $450 to $550 if it is the 22 cal. model. Can you provide some more info, the photos are not too clear.

Herb,
the top of the rear toggle is marked: UHL SEL08 Right side of front toggle marked: W. Deutsch, ERZEUONIS All parts stamped with dropped wing eagle over an N Left side front toggle: Greger 108 with 108 stamped on left side of all components I can do pictures if that will help. john |
This appears to be a variation of the Erma made postwar SE2 conversion kit. I've never seen one with these markings or this box. Definately not the same as the WW2 or before Erma kit. Tom

A pic of the eagle proof would be of help, there are several types of that eagle/N proof. As Lugerdoc pointed out it is definitely different in construction from the normal Erma, Swiss and the Stoger models that I am familiar with.

Photo is not very clear...I'll take any suggestions on improving the shot...

That looks like that little big eyed eagle, more like and owl. The 'n' you refer to appears to be the number 2. In either case this one has me stumped, I have no idea who the maker is of this kit, sorry.

It is almost a 100% certainty that this is an Erma produced kit, probably for a sporting goods firm. It is of the same configuration as the post war Erma SE 08 kit with the small toggle cocking knobs. The Erma SE 08/2 kit has round checkered toggle knobs like a standard Luger toggle only a bit smaller.

Definitely post WWII as the proof firing mark "Eagle over N" is the one of the Federal Republic of Germany. Likely an Erma.

Thanks to all for your assistance............john

Toojon, Now that my mental fog has cleared a bit, I do recall that many year ago one of the NAPCA members from South Carolina was offering repro conversions boxes like yours. TH
