Magazine ID
Trying to ID a mag: blued body WWI type stamped GERMANY on back spine. No proofmarks. Owner said it had a wood base marked GERMANY ( he has since replaced it with a repro wood base ).
Could this mag be for a 1920 Commercial? Thanks kidvett |
I believe all WWI mags were nickel or tin plated??
Did you mean WWII? |
If it had a wood bottom stamped Germany, it would be a commercial magazine - correct?

Blued Body (Tube) magazines were first used by the Mauser Military Lugers in 1936!!

I saw it very quickly. Mag body is BLUED and not the extruded FXO type, it's more like a WWI type... GERMANY stamped vertically bottom to top on back spine. He says it had a wood base marked GERMANY ( broken since ) I really dont know what it's for? A Commercial Mauser?
Thanks for the help, kidvett |
