I thought that the safety marking was interesting. I have never noticed a marking like that before. Thanks for posting the picture! I would like to know what the safety annotation means, hope that someone will enlighten me.

Regards.

I noticed a .22 Luger Training pistol on the site too. If you skip 1-2 pages back from the link above, you can see it.

Very interesting website! The other items they had were also cool (edged weapons, rifles, etc).

The German word "Feuer" means "Fire"

Unlike a standard P-08 which is safe with the safety lever in the lower position, the grip safety models such as this one are safe when the lever is in the upper position. Thus, the exposed word in the (lower) shooting position for this commercial Kriefhoff is FEUER, and shows a RED dot. I do not remember ever seeing this particular marking either.

Definitely take the time to investigate the other pages at this site. There are some very interesting firearms and the photos are superb. One special gun going up for auction is a Borchardt that was once owned by Buffalo "Wild Bill" Cody that is complete with all accessories valued at 50,000 marks.

Well the meaning for "feuer" was "enlightening"....

The only "feuer" safety marked pistols that I recall, were a few made prior to WW2 for military testing with alloy frames. I'm sure that Gibson covers this in the "Kreighoff Parabellum", but just now I'm too busy to look it up.
