Info on Old Luger Magazine
I got this mag when I bought a Luger last week. It has a silver-colored body, a silver-colored follower, a chipped wooden base inscribed 3447. There are no other marks on the mag. It holds eight rounds. Can anyone tell when this was made and who used it?
Thanks, Vboy |
By the way, this mag is for sale on Gunbroker.com. Not an ad--you can see three photos there.

Wilkommen beim Forum Parabellum! Magazines of this description were made from 1900 to the ca 1920's. As it has the serial number on the bottom it is probably of military origin. If the mag has a single round coil spring and one retaining pin in the wooden base, it is from this time period. If, however, it has and elongated coil spring and 2 pins holding the base, fore and aft, then it is a modern reproduction. Hope this helps. Tom

Thank you for the information. The coil spring is round and there is one pin at the rear of the wooden bottom.
