The use of " less" info equals "more" ?
In this case $2000 or better.
This auction is actually on gunbroker.com Item #9049587 but that's not the issue... the choice of words used to describe it IS. This gun has been bid up to $2000... and while I don't recognize more than one forum member who has bid...The photos are a dead giveaway that this gun with the "fine" finish is the result of a reblue and is not original finish... The uniform appearance of the blue steel, not only on the surface, but also on the bottom of the pits could only mean that this gun was reblued. See Photo below: http://boards.rennlist.com/lfupload/bluinginthepits.jpg This gun, although it is a nice shooter, is NOT worth what has been bid on it. My sympathies if the winner is a forum member. The seller has not even hinted at the originality of the finish... but has left that to the imagination of the bidders... As always... on an auction for something you haven't examined in detail personally... or asked someone who might know... Caveat Emptor...(AND Caveat Vendor) |

Actually, there are several dead give-aways on this one. Nice of the seller to provide such good pictures. Note that the serial on the barrel is clean and blued to the bottom. No frosting at all. Luke |
