Artillery Rig

Not too often you see a COMPLETE Rig, is it?

Anyone want to know or see more?

Ed,
OK! OK! Enough of the teasing Is it all original and matching? What chamber date is on the gun and what date is on the holster? More importantly, IS IT YOURS?

Not mine, ALL matching, the stock is matching also, prime piece, some guy I know... Okay, good friend of mine, lives in God's Country...

My notes says it is a 1915 DWM, FULL Rig...

Oh, you can see a complete set of pictures in the gallery, :)

Ed,
your friend has got a beautiful collection of LP08. Does he hold a 1914 DWM? If yes, is it possible to put pictures in the Member Gallery?
Thank you
Ciao

Ed,

I agree, too, this is a really great 1915 DWM LP-08 rig...just do not agree with the choice of back-drop used in the photos...not very historically correct...and a little too flowery for my taste...IMHO...but I am jesting... :p

Big Norm,

Nice to see your face on your postings and in the Rogue's Gallery...!

Regards,

Pete...

All the pictures have this tasteful yet elegant background,

I told him that next time I would bring a blue drop-cloth, tripod and lightbox, and we'll take some really nice photos.

OK. Who makes repro stocks with the lug? I have a playtime shooter 6" non-navy and I have a ranch to shoot it on. I missed one on Ebay (of all places) that sold for $230. Russ

Bad news. A sholder stock is only legal on a Luger that was issued with one, and then only if it is the correct type stock. An artillery Luger requires an artillery stock, a navy Luger requires a navy stock, etc. Since your Luger is a made up 6" toy, it isn't legal with any stock. If you find a stock, make sure you don't tell anyone and are way out in the boonies if you use it. Technically, it is illegal to even own a stock (if you also own a Luger) unless you have the proper Luger to go with it. Sorry, but zealous law enforcement could take away more than just your fun.

Mauro has a point. On the gallery there is a picture that is labeled as representing all artilleries. But I only count five artilleries and there were six of them. Which one is missing? There was a 1914 DWM and a 1914 Erfurt. Close to perfection, but not quite there yet. Nice collection though.

Ed,
OK! I see from the other post that you made that the 1914 Erfurt is missing. What serial number is on the 1914 DWM? How many of these artilleries have the matching stock and magazine? Maybe its time that I see how well my cheap Marlboro cigarette digital camera works.

Please take Ron Woods friendly warning seriously... The use of a stock with a Luger that is not already exempted by the ATF from the National Firearms Act of 1934 is a federal offense...

To do it legally you would have to register your 6" Luger and a shoulder stock as a short barreled Rifle and pay a $200.00 "making" tax BEFORE you attach the stock...

Lack of this legal paperwork and tax reciepts will subject you to confiscation, a hefty fine, and possibly even prison time... while I don't agree with this particular law... (not too many gun laws make much sense), it is the law of the land and a violation would make you federal felon and therefore forfeit your right to own firearms EVER.

Good luck on your decision.
