What's it worth?

Hi,
I am considering the purchase of a "1920 DWM commercial" Luger. It is in very nice condition (maybe 85% in terms of the Bluing and straw). It seems pretty comparable to the "1923DWM Commercial .30 cal" that is pictured in the "27 Lugers gallery" on page 2 of the member galleries.
What do you think it is worth?

After I get a few replies, I'll tell you what he's asking. He does guarantee that it will shoot and otherwise operate fine. This is one of those models that shows relatively few numbers, those that are evident do match.

Marcus, sometimes I hate the guessing game. It helps to have pictures, as your 85% is different from mine I am sure, :D

The 1920 Commericals don't sell as well, and especially 7.65's. So, I would imagine that $450 - $700 is a range of value. Probably in the $550 range, but simply a guess.

I would think that $550 would be absolute tops for this piece.

I bought a commercial about six months ago, .30 cal, DWM, marked Germany, a bit better than you describe, for $450. Hope this helps.
