need info my luger 1915
 
I am new to this cite and have a luger marked 1915 on rec. scroll work on top of extractor.{poss. LMC}. what can anyone tell me about this pistol. Ser, # on all parts 05.

scroll is "DWM" on top of toggle....year made of course 1915...are all numbers matched ? can you post pictures to help ID the gun ?

Welcome to the Lugerforum. If you click on the Technical Information Link that is on the left frame of our homepage (link to the homepage is at the bottom of this page if you don't already see the link to your left), you will find two Luger identification sheets that you can download and print to figure out what information may appear on your Luger. Collect that information and post it here on this message thread, and those who are knowledgeable will be glad to help identify your Luger for you.

The COMPLETE serial number is located on the front of the frame above the trigger guard and in most cases includes a small letter character below the number... this letter character is essential for proper identification.

Deutsche Waffen und Munition Fabriken (German Arms and Munitions Manufacturing). I think that's right. A 1915 is an Imperial Luger, because it was made during the reign Of Kaiser Wilhelm, and was most likely used in WWI. Most Lugers were also used in WWII. There probably is a lot of history in that pistole, and some of it may be 'read' by analyzing all markings.
