WTK differences on Stoeger marked Lugers

Is there any preferred suffix range on Stoeger marked Lugers. Or is there any difference in say one with a V suffix and any other suffix. Thanks Elmer.

Hello Elmer,

The preferred (1930's) Stoeger Lugers are those with the v-suffix which are rarer and more desirable.

Cheers,
Albert

P.S. Yes, I own a near mint (A&F) 1902 Luger carbine with many original accessories and literature as shown on my website.

Albert,
Bob Simpson has a very pretty Stoeger Artillery rig on his web site...a nice rig with provenance, but a bit pricey.

Dear friends,
the Simpson Stoeger Luger is not the original Mauser Stoeger. The barrel is a "new type" 1923 with rear sight that ranges from 0 up to 10. If you look at the picture you can see the standard P08 rear V sight.
It means that this pistol is a P08 stoeger rebarreled using a 1923 arty barrel.
The original Mauser Stoeger LP08 have the normal barrel with rear sight ranging from 0 to 8 w/o adjusting screw.
I hope this helps.

Ciao

Mauro
