1915 DWM

I have enjoyed the forum and thought that I would post some more pictures of my lugers.

crc,

Thats a spectacularly nice Luger you have there. The Unit marking is a puzzle, it is not represented in any regulation shown in G¶rtz & Bryans "Small Arms Markings".

perhaps someone with Jeff Noll's book could comment on the unusual Unit Mark?

CRC,

I would certainly like to see the artillery Luger whose muzzle you used for the photo prop!

I have Jeffs books and haven't found anything like this yet......I'll keep looking or maybe Jeff will stop by and take a look

Hello Charles,

Nice looking pair of luger...would love to see more of your long barrel LP-08...

Just a note : I have heard metal-to-metal contact is what most folks want to avoid with collection grade lugers. I would be worried about interlacing a barrel within the trigger guard of another luger...JMHO...

Pete...

I recently obtained my first Luger which is identical to the one pitcured (not quite as good condition :( ) and have a couple of questions. First, I can't tell if it is a model 1908 or 1914 (remember I am a Luger novice). She is a DWM made in 1915 just like the one pictured here. Same markings as far as I can tell. Second, mine doesn't seem to have any unit markings. I assume the markings would be on the trigger guard if there are any. Does this mean anything special?
Thanks!
