War movies

I haven't seen it in several years, and I don't remember if there is a Luger, but "Shining Through" with Kirk Douglas, has a good P.38 scene. As I recall, it was more of a love story than a war movie, but is is set in Nazi Germany. Only complaint (here I go nitpicking good movies again) is the P.38 goes "click" when empty, rather than the slide locking back.

Re: War movies

I think it was Melanie Griffith and MICHAEL Douglas in that one and as I remember the end of the movie Melanie uses a PPK to kill a German lady that is trying to turn her in! I will have to rent that one again! Thanks Matt! ted

Oops, I meant Michael Douglas (EOM)

Matt, that could have been a missing or broken hold-open

that caused the P-38 to close after the last shot. But more than likely, it was an underpowered hollywood blank.
