My two Lugers
I snapped these with my new point & shoot camera (my excuse for the picture quality).
The first is a mismatched gun with a Bohler Stahl barrel and some sort of crest on the toggle http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/clbohlerstahl.jpg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfuploa...stahlcrest.jpg This one is a well worn 1937 S/42. The numbers I can see on the gun match, but the magazine is 1944. http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/cl1937s42.jpg |
The "some sort of crest" is from a 1908 Bulgarian contract Luger. Sometime back, I think it was in the late 1960's, a lot of Bulgarian Lugers were imported. Many were in less than pristine condition (collectors would jump on them now). Some of the better ones were sold intact, but a lot of them were parted out and now show up in bits and pieces, yours is one of them.

How's the safety on the long barrel marked?
|
The safety markings on both guns are the same: Gesichert.
