Odd Erfurt...?
...if only for the serial number of "123456"...this one has to have some curio value...?

Very interesting, but a "5" digit would be a commercial and Erfurt didn't make commercials. Those numbers look iffy towards the end don't they?

IFFY IS NOT THE WORD

Can anyone say "Frankenluger"? Geeeeeez.........
|
It seems only the 2 and 3 are as old as the frame :)
|
Is there a possibility that this is a test peice?
|
I believe I see an E/6 (Simson rework) proof on the front trigger guard.
|
I concur that the numbers on this gun have been altered in my opinion. I wouldn't touch it.
|
Nick, I have no doubt it isn't.
I think that is sometimes a "catch-all" for a gun with a dubious past. Ed |
Ed ,
I agree after looking at it . |
I wonder if the E/6 mark might have been added to this gun (by waffenfabrik USA) to help explain the addition of extra numbers to the frames??? I Still wouldn't touch it.
