Suffix Id help(Again!!)
Here is a photo of a BYF 42......I cannot figure out if it is an "N" or an "M".... I know Frank is the whiz at deciphering these "Chinese" suffixes..... http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/mvc366f.jpg Thanks...
Peter, that would be a lower case M, not an N.
Peter, John S is correct, it's a "m" :)
Thanks Gentlemen.....I have a tough time reading these things properly.....perhaps I need new glasses!!!
Something a little strange about that 'm'. The left leg of the letter should not come all the way down but should stop near the top as in a regular m. This might be a variation or perhaps an 'n' that has been modified?

Hi Herb,
if you go to the Technical Info. section and go to the "Markings" sub-folder, Ed Tinker has started a very good photo study of suffix markings from actual LF member guns... Peter's luger suffix is more consistent with the "m" photos posted (even with lots of variations) than the "n" photos posted.
