Hi, Kidvett! I'm from Shawinigan, about two hours from Montreal. Very nice Erfurt you got there; can you tell us more?
I also noticed the outline of the crown on the toggle of your Luger is complete; on mine, the right side has an interruption in the line even if the stamping is very deep and sharp. What could have caused this? Was it a faulty die or a variation in a series, I don't know.
Someone on this?

The faulty crown die is a well known oddity in Erfurts.

Tom, (or others) this is conjecture and clarifying what I remember, that a die was slowly worn, damaged or a bad die and many parts were stamped over time?

Do we know or have a timeframe of guns stamped with this die?
