Help ID my Luger?

1. Toggle inscription: S/42 2. Chamber Inscription: 1936 3. Toggle Knob Type: Squared and knurled 4. Grip Safety: Not present 5. Stock Lug: Not present 6. Caliber: 9mm 7. Grip type: Walnut, checkered, w/o border w/o insignia 8. Thumb safety: safe in rear - gold colored 9. Describe markings: "Eagle over 63" "Stick Eagle over 63" flying eagle - allon R side of chamber or frame toggle - s/42, chamber 1936, serial #6111 10. Barrel Length: 4" 12. Description of front and rear sights: milled fixed front milled fixed on toggle rear 13. Magazine Bottom Plug Material - wood, no visible markings ** Gun is nickel plated - no evidence of blueing. Trigger, safety lever, toggle knobs, magazine latch all very good straw color, bore - good condition, grips are marginal |

Welcome to the forum. Your gun was manufactured by Mauser and is worth whatever someone will pay for it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you have an "improved" luger, one of the thousands that were brought home by GIs after 1945 and went to a bumper chrome shop thereafter. The lack of a stock lug and the chrome plate destroys this piece for a collector; as a shooter, enjoy it...you are shooting a piece of history that someone defaced. Tom A. |
