1939 42 pse barrel
 

have this luger mostly matching it has the letters pse under the barrel next to the reciever I figure its some kind of replacement anyone have any insight as to who made or replaced this barrel

Is it possible to include pictures of this marking? I am not familar with the letters pse on a barrel, but there are many variations? Is it possible that it is an import stamping?

Further information would be very helpful, such as type of gun. Can you tell us any markings on the gun?

What serial number is on the gun? To include any letters next to or under the serial number?

What year or letters are stamped on the top of the receiver?

What initials or letters are on the toggle?

Can you provide pictures, to include side, top, etc?

unfortunatly I do not have a digital camera the luger is a 1939 code 42 ser#4430 suffix Q most all the parts are marked 30 except saftey catch #79 and trigger #11 grips appear to be original grips they have aproof mark but no ser # the only marking on the barrel is pse it is underneath next to the serial # on the frame

The PSE if stamped clearly, could be the initials of the gunsmith doing the barrel replacement, otherwise, it could be a misreading of the barrel diameter 8,8?. Please check closely and advise. Tom H.

I have seen the PSE marking before, but I dont remember whos Luger it was on!
