unit markings

Could anyone tell me what type of unit "34P 405"
is?

I don't know what type weapon this stamp is from, but it appears to be Czechoslovakian. If it is Czech, the "34" would be the Regiment, the "P" would be for Infantry, and the "405" would be the weapon number.

This was the numbering system used by the Czechs prior to WWII.
