1910 DWM pictures

Here are a couple pictures of my 1910. What does the "108" on the grip strap mean? Is it a unit marking, and if so, how do I find out more information on it? Thanks...cwm

Welcome to the Lugerforum...

Nice 1910... one of the EARLY lugers... possibly a police Luger, and perhaps not military.

can you post a photo of the other side? ...and ID the rest of the stamps marked on the gun. Once you have posted that info, someone here will be able to tell you more about your Luger.

The "108" on your gripstrap is a mark added by a using organization. Most likely an arms room Rack # for quick inventory purposes. It is too little information to be anything else.

If you visit the UNIT MARKS forum you will find some good photo examples of what a unit mark looks like...
