WW1 9mm Ammo?
As I looked at a luger collection today, one mag actually had vintage ammo in the mag/holster. While some was headstamped 40 which I believe is WWII, there was one rd that appeared to be 1917 dated and DWM made. I thought this was pretty neat but perhaps there is lots of Great War Ammo around? Please advise on how uncommon this ammo is and thanks...Bob

Bob,
See the articles elsewhere in these Fora about catridge overall length and, if possible, measure the pertinent dimensions. --Dwight |
Hi Bob,
This is indeed a 1917-produced DWM Karlsruhe cartridge. I've got one of it's relatives sitting on a shelf right behind me :) |
