This holster looks like a repro to me.

Is my assessment correct? It's described as made by "Hohmann & Sohn Kaiserslautern." The stitching looks a little wonky, so that's my call...unless someone knows better!

Looks good to me. Did it have a date inside?

Hard to tell. I don't care for the extreme slope in the belt loops. Also as you said the stitching is not up to normal German standards. Still looks like better quality than the normal repro. Is it dated ? What is the inside wear like. And the inside belt loops thread? Bill

I like the patina. That holster looks original to me, but I don't know much. :typing: What's the story on it?

Looks fine to me, many repros have the belt loops straight up and down

Thanks, gents.
It's an auction listing, and the info above is all I have--no pics detailing any markings or internal condition.
Considering a bid of perhaps $75, limited by doubts.

*edit* Alas, it sold for $180 plus BP, shipping. I don't need one very badly, so no harm/foul.

I'm thinking it looks good but I'm no expert on holsters.

I don't like the uneven stitching.

if you can get a photo of the edge near the buckle, look at the layered construction. There should be a wedge shaped piece of leather in the middle.

Marc,

It was an online auction offering which included only these 2 pics. The stitching put me off, too, as well as the weird way the belt loops point. I bid low enough that I'd be happy if it turned out to be bogus, but it went for quite a bit more.
