Finnish 1923 questions
Sorry for the questions as I am a. novice. I just got a Finnish in excellent shape. The rigger is over 10-12 pounds, is this normal?
My Swiss trigger is comparable to a single action smith and Wesson revolver Any tips on reducing the pull weight? Or just leave it alone. Thanks |
If your trigger requires 10 - 12 pounds pressure to fire the pistol, something is terribly wrong. There are several things that could cause it. One is the L-arm that connects the trigger to the disconnector pin. If the top of the L-arm isn't pushing the pin inward enough to release the firing pin without excessive pressure on the trigger, try a layer or two of masking tape on the top of the lower end of the L-arm. That will allow the upper end to depress the disconnector pin more and release the firing pin sooner. Do not try to bend the L-arm as it is brittle and will break.

It may just need a good cleaning.

It has import marks on the underside of the barrel
I did the masking tape trick but did not reduce pull much |
