Help IDing a Barrel Extension (Reciever)

I have this parts gun and a copy of the Standard Catalog, but I'm not able to ID this receiver very well. It's just curiosity, but can anyone provide any thoughts?

Thanks!

1918 DWM with remnants of a police sear safety. 1920 means it was re-acquired and marked as early Wiemar gov't property. Curious that it has the military year of manufacture and a lazy C/N commercial stamp. Seems to be a mismatch, too, poor thing.
More pics--full top, bottom, sides, and front under barrel--may yield more.

Here are some more pics of the receiver/barrel extension. I saw a reference in Lugers at Random that mentioned nitro proof marks subsequently placed on military pistols, but don't know anything about it. The barrel is certainly a latter day reproduction replacement.

IMO the original military barrel has been replaced (no serial number visible on the barrel) and that required that it go through proof testing. Thus the Crown/N showing that it passed commercial proofing. The original military inspection and acceptance stamps have been removed and only a single Weimar era stylized eagle proof mark remains.

So, I have heard rumors of removing proof marks as part of arsenal refurbishment, did this really happen? If so, how was this done?

I doubt removed, was end of war piece that received the 1918 and then was used after the war.
The germans did not want to be seen selling military pistols and thus it went via the commercial route.
