HELP what do I do???

Ok, I got my Portuguese GNR with a M2 holster. So I'm looking through the auctions at Gunbroker and find the following. Firstly I really want that holster, but do not trust the seller and his reserve is probably $2000 anyway. :mad: DKF AUCTION HOLSTER

Doug, whatever you do;

DON'T ASK FOR HIS RESERVE...

:D

Hello Doug,

You might want to contact Mike Morris :

http://www.relicsofthereichs.com/lugers.htm

He has a GNR pistol and holster rig that he is asking $ 3500.00...gun alone would fetch $ 2500-2800...so maybe it you made the right holster price-offer he would go for it...?

I am thinking about doing the same (for another holster), but will wait until Tulsa in April in person and wave some dollars in front of him and hopefully catch him at a good time at the show...

Usually when this seller has a product of dubious worth, the pictures are so dark you can't tell if it is a holster or a bar stool. In this case, the pictures are quite clear and it appears as though it may be the genuine article.

My GNR holster is AE marked with no date. Bender shows an example with only the last two digits of the date. I have seen two mag pouches with GNR stamped on them, but I have not seen holsters so marked. Neither mine or Bender's example has that diagonal row of stitching on the lower part of the back. It would seem that there is a fair amount of variation in these holsters, so it is hard to be sure if it is genuine. It would be more assuring if this seller's track record was a little more solid. Be prepared to pay through the nose, because this is a nice example if it is indeed authentic.

:confused: I know DKF has a shady reputation, however I bought two barrels from him that were very expensive, but were in as good or better condition than described.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Either it is real or I am getting soft headed in my old age (or both).

G&G Relics is advertising a GNR holster in flyer that arrived yesterday. It was $275 IIRC.

Sure looks like a sweet holster .love to get one for my GNR .I like everyone else have the M2 holster with my
rig. At least that one is complete with rod and punch.
just kind of hate to do business with" that" gentleman.

I have had some GNR holster so marked, but many more that were just AE marked inside. I believe than quite a few M1906 M2 holsters were altered for the GNR, by just replacing the belt loops. TH
