Cleaning swabs

I just thought I would pass on some information about using cleaning swabs on your guns. I’ve been using them for the pst couple of years and love them. I used regular Q-tips for as long as I can remember then started using the swabs specifically designed for firearms cleaning. I’ve used several brands and find the Ramrodz brand to be the best. I have no financial interest in the company at all so this recommendation is completely unbiased. I just found the other brands swabs leave behind a lot of lint and don’t stay wrapped tight plus the sticks break easily. The Ramrodz brand them sticks are more flexible but still ridged enough to bear down some and the cotton swabs don’t come apart easy. Anyway I posted this because I just got a shipment of 600 for my 44/45 caliber guns which will last a long time because I still use cleaning patches with the swabs. I love cleaning my guns even if I haven’t used them it’s cheap therapy for me. 😆

I use a soft toothbrush, not swabs

I use a soft toothbrush also but you can’t clean a barrel with a toothbrush.

I have been using G-tip cleaning swabs for years.

No. Bore cleaning is with patches. I cut up retired athletic shirts as the cotton is both soft and absorbent.
